‘The one who could repeat the summer day’

The leaves are changing, the air is crisper and I spent my morning collecting acorns with three year olds. Happy autumn everyone.

Here is some Emily Dickinson for those who are still clinging to summer. Summer 2016 will stay with me forever, and I do wish I could repeat my own summer day.

“The One who could repeat the Summer day
Were greater than itself—though He
Minutest of Mankind should be
And He—could reproduce the Sun
At period of going down
The Lingering—and the Stain—I mean

When Orient have been outgrown
And Occident—become Unknown
His Name—remain”

-Emily Dickinson, 1830-1886

So long summer, good morning autumn.

Thank you so much for reading!
